The work was all done from beneath the galley sink. They took the under the sink cabinet door off for a little better access.During the work I was on the boat on a regular basis and they never had the stove off its gimbals. The work was done by a local (SF Bay Area) company called Swedish Marine owned by Anders Johanson. He might be willing to give you some tips if you call him(510 234-9566).

We went with the two Adler Barbers based on his recomendation (he is a Glacier Bay dealer)based on price and the efficiency we would get from the new box. I cannot tell you much about consumption yet as this has all been done in preperation for when we "cut the dock lines" and we have not had a chance to really run the freezer under "working conditions" for any length of time yet. We are moving aboard at the end of August and will have much more data after that. I do know that our refer is working a lot less since we replaced the door!
