We installed ours in 1999 and have used it almost continually ever since. It has required little maintenance and produces 7 gallons per hour of good water. I am going to open it up this summer for some P.M. snce there is a little seepage around the end of the membranes. Hope it just needs new O-rings. Our is mounted in the aft head....two short membranes under the mirror and the pump under the sink on a shelf. See April Sail mag for a photo. Be sure and install it where you can get at it.
Since we started cruising, we hear gripes on the radio about PUR and Spectra. None about Village Marine.
